All certified pre-owned vehicle programs are relatively alike. Manufacturers with certification programs differ only, by which one offers the most coverage. You should carefully check what the warranty covers. This is probably one of the most important factors in choosing a certified pre-owned vehicle.
Here is some factors that make a certified pre-owned vehicle:
● All certified pre-owned vehicles have undergone a 100 point inspection from a certified mechanic.
● All have an extended warranty. (remainder of manufactures warranty plus a Service Contract)
● All have met an age and mileage requirement (Usually under 3 years old and less than 30k miles).
Not all offer these benefits:
о Roadside assistance (sometimes not included on service contract).
о Free rental car if yours is being worked on (sometimes not included on service contract).
о Special financing  (Very low interest rates).
о Exchange program (In most cases - 3 day/150 mile, money back).
