What are the best Special Finance Leads and why
are they so important?
Special Finance leads will help your dealership
produce more revenue. But you have got to consider the source. Here are
some Questions to ask before signing up with anyone.
#1. How are your leads generated?
The best way to produce leads is going to be search engine generated.
Some lead providing companies use turndowns from other companies
that could not get them approved so they sell the lead. That is not
going to be a good lead and will ultimately break the camels back (in
laymen terms).
#2. Are there filters for people that just want
to re-finance or that do not qualify at all?
The best leads will be from websites that provide the basic requirements
posted right on the home page or the apply page, before the consumer
fills out the application. Website’s that do not post these requirements
are just looking for any type of lead to make a buck.
#3. Do they use deceptive e-mail campaigns?
Deceptive e-mails are rewarding a person, like if they fill out the
application they will receive a free dvd player or camera or something
like that. Wouldn’t you like these customers after you contacted them,
asking for their free dvd player just for filling out an application?
NOT! That’s all they wanted to begin with.
#4. Are the leads sent to multiple stores?
Some lead providers send the lead to several different stores. Therefore
lowering your chances of selling a car.
#5. Does the customer know if their application
is going to an actual bank or dealership?
Make for certain that the websites state that the leads are for
special finance dealerships and by no means a direct lender.
#6. What customer information does the lead
consist of?
You don’t need just a five liner. You need as much information on
this customer as possible. That will be a serious customer and a good
lead.
#7. When did the customer fill out the
application?
As soon as the customer clicks the submit button on
the application you should have it in your database. You don’t want 2 or
3 day old applications. Chances are this customer has already bought a
car.
